Get to Know the Product

We purchased these for two use cases with the same goal in mind: Increase road side visibility while driving at night and in poor weather. We live in an area where our roads are rural and therefore not well lit, those roads also have plenty of deer and elk that cross the highway and cause accidents frequently. We also found that while we had excellent lights for looking up the road and seeing obstacles close up we did not have the ability to see animals, branches and other obstacles that hide on the side of roads. The Baja Squadron SAE LED Lights are the more expensive option amongst fog lights but they work extremely well and are an important part of our road legal lighting set up for on and off road driving visibility.

Why we Like It

This will be a short and sweet explanation of why we like these lights. As a Baja Designs product they are a quality product from a trusted brand that quite simply work and get the job you bought them for done. They provide significantly better performance than stock street legal fog lights and come with a lifetime warranty. We decided to install these on our C4 Fabrication Hybrid Bumper with some help from a local shop (if you’re in Central Oregon give Technique a call).

What we Don’t Like

In terms of function there isn’t anything we don’t like about these lights. There was a recall issued for the lights that featured a rather complex return process, we did not pursue this as the recall was to update the beam pattern and we have not had an issue with this. As a result we did not see a reason to go through the lengthy return process. 

Outside of the recall these lights pretty expensive for what they are. While we think they are worth the price, they are double the cost of our 360 Pro 9” Round lights, so be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you decide to purchase these.

Would we Buy it Again

We would purchase these again but would also consider buying from Diode Dynamics if we were to purchase fog lights again. This brand provides a similar quality for an improved price; you can get the same lights for $400 for the pair vs. $350 per light with Baja Designs. Overall though going with Baja Designs means that you are buying a quality and trusted brand even if the name comes with a higher price point.
