Aux Beam 360 - Pro Series 9 Inch 270W 37776LM Offroad LED Driving Lights

KC Competitor light review

Get to Know the Product

The Aux Beam 360- Pro Series Lights have allowed us to add more directed spot light capability to our existing lighting set up. This supports our ability to drive more confidently at night. These lights have seen the most use while driving through canyons where we need to see far ahead but have a very targeted line of site on the road ahead.

Why we Like It

These lights have proven to be very durable in their construction. They have stayed in tact while consistently driving through extremely corrugated and washboarded roads, rough terrain and water crossings with no damage to the lights. The Aux Beam 360 - Pro Series Lights have provided extreme value for the price, with a set of two costing roughly half of most comparable competitor lights.

We purchased the option with the amber light covers and those covers have proven to be easy swap on and off in the middle of a dark and dusty trail. We have not had any quality issues with these lights and they over the course of 3 substantial overlanding trips throughout the Southwest and consistent use on backroads in the Pacific Northwest. The lights are easy enough to install on your own, we decided to install ours on our C4 Fabrication Hybrid Bumper.

What we Don’t Like

There are a few aspects to these lights that we do not love. The first being that they draw a lot of power which we feel is a somewhat unnecessary tax on the trucks system. The existing mounts make it difficult to consistently aim the lights in the direction that you want them to go. The biggest issue we have had with this is when we are on a very corrugated or bumpy road the lights will slowly rattle in the opposite direction of where you want them aimed. Additionally the projector beam that is at the center of the lights feels more like a gimmick instead of actually being functional.

Would we Buy it Again

For the price point, given their functionality, we would buy this product again. If we were to purchase the equivalent Baja Design Lights they would run us over $600. As a result we will happily manage the few quirks that these lights have over paying double for a comparable product that might have a better mounting system. We have found that it is easy enough to modify the mounting system to avoid the problems listed about and as a result would recommend saving the money on this item then spending double.
