Outdoor Research Flurry Sensor Glove Review

We like functional products that perform as advertised here at Western Wild, which is why we are reviewing the Outdoor Research Flurry Sensor Glove. When I first moved to Oregon, I purchased and returned 5-6 different pairs of gloves. The ones that I bought did not keep my hands warm, were incredibly stiff and did not allow for any dexterity, had touchpad features that did not work, or were entirely too warm for the weather I was in.

My search, however, was not in vain, after trying the Outdoor Research Flurry Sensor Gloves, I have become a brand loyalist and purchased a pair of these for Dylan, my parents and other friends that have moved into colder climates.

Features

These gloves feature a fleece liner to keep your hands toasty warm and are made out of a lightweight breathable Alpin-wool Plus fabric, which means that they wick moisture away from your skin and dry quickly. The motion wrap palm construction allows you to maintain dexterity in your fingers so that you can go about your outdoor activities unencumbered. The touch pads on your thumb and index fingers actually work reasonably well too. You will not be texting your bff a novel with these touch pads, but they do allow you to open your phone and engage in basic touch screen functionality without having to remove your gloves. These gloves also feature silicone prints on the underside of the gloves to increase grip.

The Outdoor Research Flurry Sensor Gloves are excellent for most of your cold weather needs. They are a great glove to wear around town running errands, on snowshoeing and camping. They are not waterproof so you will want to be cautious about handling snow for an extended amount of time as they will soak through.

All in all these are an excellent all purpose winter glove that will reliably keep your hands warm for years of use.
